Our mission is to  advance geoscience research and discovery, service to society, stewardship of Earth, and the geosciences professions. We promote interest and education in geology, mineralogy, paleontology, archaeology and the lapidary arts, and sponsor and provide means of coordinating the work and efforts of people interested in these fields. Our vision is to be the premier geological society supporting our communities in scientific discovery, communication, public outreach, and application of geoscience knowledge.
